As a reminder, administration recommended to the Board on Sept. 24 that an additional one-time payment be made to eligible staff in February 2021. Trustees unanimously approved the additional one-time payment of $1,000 for all qualified full-time exempt employees (professional staff), and $500 for all full-time non-exempt (hourly) employees. One-half of the final approved amount will be provided to any qualified half-time employee based on their classification as exempt or non-exempt. To be eligible, an employee must have been employed and working by Nov. 15, 2020 and must still be employed and working through Jan. 31, 2021.
This one-time payment is intended as a retention incentive to encourage employees to fulfill their commitment to the District.
