As a reminder, administration recommended to the Board on Sept. 24 that an additional one-time payment be made to eligible staff in February 2021. Trustees unanimously approved the additional one-time payment of $1,000 for all qualified full-time exempt employees (professional staff), and $500 for all full-time non-exempt (hourly) employees. One-half of the final approved amount will be provided to any qualified half-time employee based on their classification as exempt or non-exempt. To be eligible, an employee must have been employed and working by Nov. 15, 2020 and must still be employed and working through Jan. 31, 2021.  

This one-time payment is intended as a retention incentive to encourage employees to fulfill their commitment to the District. 

As part of the 2020–21 budget, BISD’s board of trustees approved an incentive payment in November of $500 for all staff. That payment will be made on Wednesday, Nov. 18 and will come separate from your regular check. 

There will be an announcement in February 2021 as to when the February incentive payment will be distributed to staff.
